From June 26 to 28, 2024, the 5th International Conference on Vibration and Energy Harvesting Applications (VEH 2024) was held at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. VEH is one of the largest and most influential international academic conferences in the field of vibration and energy harvesting, having been held five times so far. Each year, experts and industry professionals from top renewable energy research institutions worldwide gather at this event to discuss and present the latest technologies in energy harvesting and self-powered smart sensing.
Doctoral student Xinhui Mao and master’s student Jiyuan Zhang from the research group attended the conference online. They delivered an oral presentation titled “Development of Electret Generator Inspired by Miura-origami and Application in Transmission Line Vibration Monitoring,” which attracted attention from participants and received the Best Paper Award Honorable Mention.
