2024-04-26

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Microsystems & Nanoengineering, the journal, in collaboration with the National Key Laboratory of Sensor Technology, held the “2025 Micro-Nano Doctoral Symposium” online in late April 2025. The symposium featured four main themes: Micro/Nano Sensors and Actuators, Bio-MEMS & MEMS Micro-Energy, Flexible Micro/Nano Devices and Systems, and Micro/Nano Materials and Functional Devices. It attracted 141 young scholars from 55 universities and research institutes, with 24 experts in the micro-nano field providing on-site commentary.

After four days of presentations, interactive Q&A, expert reviews, and rigorous evaluation by the symposium’s academic steering committee, a total of 32 “Excellent Presentation” awards and 40 “Best Presentation” awards were conferred. Within the “Bio-MEMS & MEMS Micro-Energy” session, 8 participants received the Excellent Presentation Award. Among them was doctoral student Xinhui Mao from the research group, recognized for his presentation titled “Electret Based Micro/Nano Energy Harvesting and Self-Powered Sensing”.
