Kai Tao

Dr. Kai Tao received his Ph.D in Nanyang Technological University in 2016. He is a professor in the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnical University. In 2018, he was selected as a young talent in the high-level talent introduction plan of Shaanxi Province. In 2023, he was selected as a young scholar of the National Major Talent Project and a young scholar of the Northwestern Polytechnical University, and was continuously selected into Stanford 's " Top 2 % of the World 's Top Scientists " list ( top 0.5 % in 2023 ).

He is mainly engaged in the research of micro-energy and intelligent micro-system, and presides over more than ten projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Equipment Pre-research Fund, the National Defense Science and Technology Fund, the Innovation Special Zone Project, the Aerospace Science and Technology Fund, and the Key Research and Development Plan of Shaanxi Province. More than 100 SCI papers were published in international famous journals such as Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, and JMEMS, including 22 ESI highly cited papers, 4 hot papers, 30 papers with impact factor > 10, and more than 8000 citations. He has won academic awards such as MINE Young Scientist Award (2022), ASME ASMS Annual Best Paper Award (2019), IMCC2021 Outstanding Paper First Prize, IEEE MEMS2021 Outstanding Paper Nomination Award, JMEMS Right Now Paper Award (2022), Shaanxi Provincial Natural Science Excellent Academic Paper Award (2022), Nano-Micro Letter ESI Top Paper Award ( 2022 ) and China 's Hundred Most Influential International Academic Papers (2019).
